In perfumes bearing the name Eau de toilette, the maximum concentration of essential oils varies from 10 to 15% and the olfactory structure is measured on the top notes, i.e. those that evaporate first, also due to the higher concentration of alcohol which accentuates the evaporation, emphasizing the initial impact. Eau de toilette are very suitable for the day, for work, for shopping, as they leave a more delicate trail, ideal for casual and discreet fragrances: its persistence is about 3-4 hours. In insisting on the top notes, the perfume creator emphasizes its liveliness by choosing citrus and marine notes, in all their nuances, or aromatic notes.
Eau de parfum: strengthens in the heart and base notes for an intense and lasting fragrance
Eau de parfum are fragrances that contain up to 50% essential oils, with an alcohol concentration ranging from about 15 to 20%. The most important part of this formulation develops in the heart and base notes, which is why we are talking about a more intense and lasting fragrance: it resists on the skin up to 6-7 hours, and is suitable for the evening. In creating it, the perfumer enhances the notes of fresh flowers and fruity ones that make it rich and seductive.
